Yes, I know a foreign implant is your last option. But when your do have to use a Medpor implant, what has been your experience like? The surgeon I'm going to has about 20 years experience using these type of implants and they have been successful.
Today I want to remove the implants simply because I cannot stand the idea of having it in my body for all of my life or even risk future complications. The Medpor implant enveloped by both a temporoparietal fascial flap and an expanded cutaneous flap appears to be a promising alternative for the auricular framework in microtia reconstruction.
